On Monday, CSX Transportation released a pair of GE CM44AH locomotives wearing special paint schemes to celebrate America's 250th birthday. Numbered 250 and 2026, these join the company's fleet of specially-painted locomotives, which include #1776 that honors America's military, #911 recognizing first responders, #3194 honoring our police, and a variety of locomotives painted in heritage schemes of predecessor carriers such as the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie, Seaboard System, and the Clinchfield.
